About the Founder

CHERYL HONIG
While sitting in Rosh Hashanah services and listening to the Rabbi explain the importance of involvement in the Jewish Community, I started wondering how I could be helpful, and what skills I possessed that would be beneficial.
At the conclusion of the service, I took a piece of challah, and said the Hamotzi blessing with the congregation. It only took 1 bite for me to realize that the challah tasted terrible. I knew that I could make a much better challah, and immediately realized that I could serve the Jewish community by baking fantastic challah.
That was the spark that flamed the creation of The Blessed Braid!
Lori Moilov and her family approached me as I was passing out samples at the Irvine Ranch Market in Costa Mesa. As they were enjoying the samples, we had a wonderful chat about creativity. Lori mentioned she hosts the Limitless Podcast and invited me to be interviewed as her guest. I was thrilled to accept her invitation, and now you can see the full interview by clicking the link below. Enjoy!
About The Bakers

PAUL MILLER
Paul comes to us from Anaheim, CA. He has years of culinary experience, but his passion for baking started by making Peanut Butter & Chocolate Cinnamon Fudge for his family.
He now brings that same care and affection to all the baked goods at The Blessed Braid.
When not in the bakery, Paul and his wife Amanda care for their two cats Meera-bean and Evangeline.

JASMIN GOMEZ
Jasmin credits a high school biology class extra credit assignment that involved baking, as the spark that ignited her passion for baking. Since then, she pursued a Masters in American Studies, specializing in Food Culture in America, and additional degrees in Pastry Arts and Culinary Arts.
Jasmin has been in the food and beverage industry since 2013, and worked in cafes, restaurants, and bakeries. Jasmin combines her education and training to bake up some tasty, and kosher treats at The Blessed Braid. When not in the bakery, Jasmin enjoys checking out the local food scene in Orange County.
